Welcome to the Fairbourne Community Flood Plan Information Service. This website has been set up by Arthog Community Council after the events that happened to the community in early 2014. It is being funded by Arthog Community Council. In an age where the majority of households have a computer, it is only natural that everybody can get access to information and the latest news at the click of a button. For those households that do not have a computer, this information and in particular the latest news will delivered by hand mail.

The various headings on the titles indicate the relevant information that is available which will be constantly updated.

The first Community Flood Plan was signed off in 2011 and before the tidal surges that hit Fairbourne in January and February 2014. The Flood Plan is reviewed annually.

Some of the images that you see throughout this website reflect what happened in the storms of January and February 2014. Since then steps have and are being been taken to reduce the effects of flooding within the Community by Natural Resources Wales. Please read through this website and in the event of a Flood and an Evacuation follow the steps that are recommended; do not wait for an evacuation to become an emergency.
